Cairo and Cape Town, what romantic names to conjure with!

These two historically linked African cities will be joined together by Rovos rail’s trans-African safari - the ultimate African experience for this exclusive five star journey which includes the incomparable luxury of the Pride of Africa and a comfortable aircraft.

This African expedition which will carry an exclusive band of intrepid adventurers through the heartlands of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, the Sudan and Egypt. Thereafter join our air safari and continue north from the Victoria Falls or Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar and then into the heartland of Tanzania where a four day visit to the Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti await you. Continue onto Entebbe, Uganda and enjoy an optional visit to the gorillas. Your journey then follows the Nile northwards to Khartoum in the Sudan and onto Abu Simbel in Egypt. A luxurious lake cruiser will take you in a leisurely fashion over 3 nights to see the historical sights on the shores of Lake Nasser. Then it’s onto Luxor for 2 nights to experience ancient Egypt in all its splendour as you visit temples, quarries and the valley of kings and queens.
